For adventure lovers, hikes in mountainous areas is El Refugio de Vida Silvestre Cerro Dantas is located near the city of Heredia, 20 kilometers northeast of the National University, on the edge of Braulio Carrillo National Park.
It has 57 hectares of primary and secondary cloud forest. Its trails enter a mountain of irregular topography where you can see a variety of trees, orchids, birds, streams and waterfalls, hopefully appreciating animals from the area as the name says Dantas and Jaguares, Pumas in their natural habitat.
