Ventanas

Its name comes from the strata in which the rock is obtained in this way. Its extension length is 500 meters.

Its sand is gray and its curved coast is good for swimming. Patches, cliffs, waterways, estuaries and islands, primeval forest areas and huge coastal vegetation make up such a beautiful scenic area. Beach managed by the Ojochal Development Committee in the Southern Region of Costa Rica.

Small beach, but natural scenery, the cave will make a sound when the waves hit the rocks and pass over the mountains. At low tide you can walk through the waves and watch them break inland. At high tide, a large amount of water colliding with the rocks expels water through the cave opening.

The Development Committee has done an excellent job maintaining the beaches and roads. Despite the ballast, the state is impeccable, so a simple car can enter and provide basic services such as drinking water, showers, changing rooms and parking, a well-demarcated parking lot.

You can arrive before the caretaker closes the beach and camp perfectly at a very convenient rate. Playa Ventanas is about 30 kilometers by car from the Dominical area in the south of our country, the best thing is that it is close to other attractions, such as the beach near the Marino Ballena National Park.
