Tourism is a growing sector in the economy of Ebony. Having grown from less than a hundred annual visitors in 1975 to around 25,000 in the mid-1990s to 150,000 in recent years, much of the economy is increasingly dependent on tourism. An increase in hotels, taxis, guides and other tourist services have appeared since the early 1990s.
Located south of Cóbano, province of Puntarenas, 12 km to the east, a stretch of the road facing the sea is right in front of Playa Santa Teresa. You can find international restaurants, supermarkets, as well as being a place where you can surf, walk on the beach, horseback riding, with excursions for young and old. Cobano has a gas station, supermarket and ATM.
