It is a beautiful place of more than 100 hectares of land to enjoy nature, full of peace and tranquility.
Take the Interamericana Sur highway and when you get to El Empalme turn right towards Santa María de Dota. From El Empalme it is 8.2 km (10-15 minutes) at the entrance of the property (it is on the right hand side and has no more than a small sign indicating the hours (Tuesday to Sunday from 7am to 5pm). It is better to use WAZE. From the entrance it is approximately 1km to reach the top where the Lagoon and the camping area are located. This is by a path of ballast, which in summer does not present any problem for light vehicles.
Quite large camping area, being able to leave the car next to your tent (parking and camping area occupy the same land. Reservations are not taken.
There are 3 ranches with picnic style plank tables, with grills for cooking, (they do not have electricity or water) and on the shore of the lagoon there are about 4 additional picnic tables.
Bathroom set (1 men's toilet, 1 women's toilet, 1 disabled toilet, 1 urinal, 2 showers, 1 sink). The area of the ranches has electricity. But if water, although it is recommended to take the one you consume
To camp you must take everything you need, coal (there is a coal store before you get to Empalme where they sell it at a very good price, and in the Lagoon you can get some firewood but it is better to go prepared) food, water, tent campaign, focus and lamps, etc. (remember that there is NO electricity in the place). The town of Santa María is 5.4 km away and there you can get everything if you don't want to take it from home. Take into account that in rural areas businesses tend to close earlier.
